About Us

The Wisconsin ADA Coordinators Association is being developed to assist Governmental entities and businesses within the communities of Wisconsin regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for the purpose of accessibility and inclusion.

Our mission is to support Wisconsin ADA Coordinators in their work of ensuring accessibility in their communities.

Goals

  • Provide educational opportunities on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA).
  • Maintain a forum to identify and share, resources, policies, procedures and practices, Wisconsin Statutes, and city ordinances which address the spirit of the ADA, PROWAG, etc.
  • Identify and share resources that are relevant to the ADA Coordinator’s work with the diverse population of persons with disabilities.
  • Hold an annual conference.  Date and time to be determined. 
  • Hold regular board meetings, participation highly encouraged.
